Working from home
The seismic shift towards working from home in recent times was, of course, accelerated by the global pandemic, but I’d argue that it was coming anyway. There are so many reasons why remote working can and does work, across a wide range of different job roles, that it was only a matter of time before it became the norm.
What no one prepared us for was how to conduct ourselves in this ‘new’ medium. But, as humans always do, we learned quickly – at least some of us did. A precursor to us being ‘forced’ on screen by circumstances was the advent of the YouTube generation who chose to do it of their own free will.
