Action

The facility within image processing programs such as Adobe Photoshop to record and save a sequence of operations and then apply them automatically to subsequent images at a later stage.

Bayer filter array

The pattern of red-, green- and blue-coloured filters overlaid on top of the pixels on a typical CCD or CMOS imaging sensor. There are twice as many green-filtered pixels as red or blue to mimic the sensitivity of the human eye.

Blacklight

A visually very dark or black light source which emits shortwave blue light and/or longwave UV radiation. They have many applications, including producing fluorescence in nightclubs, mineral prospecting and attracting moths at night.
