Horizontal partitioning
Horizontal partitioning is the process of splitting the rows of a table or a relation between two or more databases to form a distributed database. With this setup, each individual database has a set of rows that belong to the table or relation that belongs to the specific individual database.
As the data specific to the location is stored locally, the information access is more efficient, and optimal performance can be expected as the local data is only stored in a specific database. It is also more secure, as the information belonging to the other location is not stored in the database.
