It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Distributed computing has gotten stronger than before as it now provides the ability to handle communication over a network with distributed objects. Though there are a number of different ways to create distributed objects across a distributed network, distributed computing is preferred as it provides you the ability to access any component in a distributed system.
