It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In software, any sort of IO is costly. Whenever we load a template, we are currently loading it from disk, rendering it, and then throwing that information away. In the next few sections, we see how to cache our template files and then how to cache the rendered results of our views.
