Actually setting up an email service requires a registered domain and for the domain to be configured to receive email. If you are following along with the suorganizer project (rather than your own), it is best to read this section and not actually issue the commands here.
Our website currently has no way to send emails. We can’t verify new users (we can’t send activation emails) or reset passwords, which is rather a large problem. These emails are referred to as transactional emails as opposed to bulk emails (such as newsletters and mailing lists).
