So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

James Marsh directs both documentary and dramatic features, most recently including The Theory of Everything (2014), featuring Eddie Redmayne as physicist Stephen Hawking, and Shadow Dancer, a thriller featuring Clive Owen and Gillian Anderson. Other dramatic credits include The King, a theatrical feature based on a script he wrote with Milo Addica, and 1980, the second film in the dramatic trilogy Red Riding, which aired on Channel 4 in 2009.
In 2010, Marsh spoke with me about his work as the director of Man on Wire, which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary. Based on the book To Reach the Clouds by Philippe Petit, the film tells the story of how Petit, at the age of 24, conspired with a group of friends and strangers ...
