So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 22 Orlando von Einsiedel
A former professional snowboarder, London-based filmmaker Orlando von Einsiedel co-founded Grain Media, a TV and film production company, in 2006. He went on to direct a series of short, social issue and investigative documentaries around the world, including Afghanistan (Skateistan: To Live and Skate Kabul, 2010); Nigeria (Aisha’s Song and Radio Amina, 2011); and Sierra Leone (Pirate Fishing, 2011).
In 2012, von Einsiedel began directing his first feature-length documentary, the Academy Award-nominated Virunga. With executive producers including Leonardo DiCaprio and Howard G. Buffett, Virunga premiered at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, winning awards there and at more than 50 other festivals worldwide.
