It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 10. Inlining Tricks
There are a number of “tricks” that can make inlining more effective. This chapter is dedicated to these tricks. These mechanisms are increasingly available as compiler options and optimizations. Check to see what your compiler will do for you before investing any significant effort in doing them yourself.
