How it works...

In the Raspberry Pi image we used, gdbserver is not installed by default. So, as a first step, we install gdbserver:

After the installation is complete, we run gdbserver, passing the name of the application that needs to be debugged, the IP address, and the port to listen out for incoming connections as its parameters. We use 0.0.0.0 as the IP address to indicate that we want to accept connections on any IP address:
