Crop productivity is limited in arid and semiarid regions of the world due to adverse conditions such as drought and salt stresses. Drought and salinity are regarded as the major factors affecting plant diseases. The soil-borne pathogens may respond differently to salinity level. Some studies provided evidence for increased disease at increasing salinity.
