This next device, shown in Figure 3-8, is called an amplifier, which makes signals bigger. RF signals constantly need to be made bigger as they move from place to place. It's just like driving a car. You drive around from place to place using up gas, and when you run low, you fill up. An amplifier is a filling station for RF signals.
