How to do it...

1. Access the Remix IDE by opening the link (https://remix.ethereum.org/) in your browser.
2. To connect to an existing Ethereum network, navigate to the Run tab and select Environment.
3. Environment provides the following options as shown in the following screenshot:

• JavaScript VM
• Injected Web3
• Web3 provider

4. Selecting the JavaScript VM option will connect the node to a built-in mock Ethereum network. It is the best suitable network for quick testing.

5. The injected Web3 option connects to a provider supplied by MetaMask or other wallets. The Web3 provider option connects to a node directly using its RPC URL.
