How to do it…

1. Download and install Ethereum by running the following command if you do not have it configured:

$ sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:ethereum/ethereum

2. Once Ethereum is installed, download and install the stable version of Swarm:

$ sudo apt-get update$ sudo apt-get install ethereum-swarm

3. Verify the installation of Ethereum using the version command. It should return the currently installed version of Swarm:

$ swarm version

4. Now, to connect and start using Swarm, you need to have an Ethereum address.  Follow the commands given here to create an account and use it with Swarm:

// Password will be asked and returns the address$ geth account new$ swarm --bzzaccount <account_address>
