So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What we’ll do in this chapter
- create a channel that communicates directly with a GenServer
- use the topic:subtopic convention to focus communication on a single GenServer
- define separate handle_in events for each game command—new game, join game, fire shot, and so on
- interact with our channel in the console to see it work
