3.3 Model Parameters

Some particularly important parameters allow you to fine-tune the generated model outputs. Parameters like temperature, top-p, and top-k play a vital role; with their help, you can control the creativity, randomness, and focus of the generated output.

3.3.1 Model Temperature

With model temperature, you can control the randomness of the model’s response. Typical values are 0 (low temperature) and 1, or even above (high temperature). Low temperatures keep the model focused, and you get deterministic results, meaning that you can repeatedly get the same response. The model favors extremely likely tokens.
