Let’s start developing our very first RAG application by mapping out what we’ll create. Our small RAG system will be backed by a vector database. This vector database will represent a knowledge base for human history, populated with knowledge fetched from Wikipedia. We’ll load a number of Wikipedia articles on the topic and store them in the database. Later, we’ll set up a RAG system that will interact with these documents and answer questions based on that represented knowledge. The RAG system will also clearly state if it does not know how to answer the question.
