5.9 DB2 maintenance
Periodic maintenance activities are required on the Tivoli Workload Scheduler
V8.3 database to ensure that no information is lost. It is also required to achieve
the maximum performance from the DB2 server.
Having accurate and complete database statistics is critical to efficient data
access and optimal workload performance. To achieve this purpose, when the
Tivoli Workload Scheduler V8.3 database is created, the following configuration
options are set to ON to configure the database for automatic statistics collection:
AUTO_MAINT
AUTO_TBL_MAINT
AUTO_RUNSTATS
