10.1 Upgrading your whole environment
To avoid problems with the Tivoli Workload Scheduler, when you upgrade to a
new version, ensure that you do so for your whole environment. The components
of Tivoli Workload Scheduler Version 8.3 are compatible with the components of
the previous versions (for more details, see IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler
Release Notes v8.3, SC32-1277). However, running the Tivoli Workload
Scheduler in a mixed network increases the possibility of problems. This is
because each new release of Tivoli Workload Scheduler not only adds
functionality, but also improves the stability and reliability of the various
