It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

If you are interested only in tactically managing global supply chains, then you are not the main audience for this book. Global supply chain management is inherently both strategic and tactical (operational). While we find that the global strategy efforts of multinational corporations explain 70 percent of a firm’s performance in the global marketplace, we also find that global supply chain efforts account for roughly 21 percent of that effort today and are predicted to account for 25 percent in five years (that is, global supply chains are becoming more important and more global). ...
