It’s great that Google Apps includes a chat program (actually, four chat programs, as you’re about to see) because IM is a fantastic business productivity tool. On top of being able to know whether someone is available to talk, the ability to make phone calls, transfer files, and much more make IM one of the essentials for a modern computer.
