I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Notification Services provides a flexible, extensible, and scalable platform for creating notification applications. It provides most of the plumbing necessary to build these types of applications; you supply custom code as necessary to implement the functionality you need.
There are three main components in any Notification Services application: the Windows service, the SQL Server data store, and the subscription management application. Notification Services provides the tools to automatically produce the SQL Server data store and the Windows service and provides sample applications that you can copy and customize to create your own subscription management applications.
