So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Automated human emotion detection system
Automated human emotion recognition (HER) can be done by using either one of the following signals/inputs from the subject (human) or a combination thereof:
- Facial expression
- Speech/audio
- Text
This chapter considers the facial expression recognition (FER)-based HER. A DL-based automated FER consists of three main steps: preprocessing, deep feature learning, and classification. The following diagram highlights these main steps in an FER-based HER.
