Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTES)
This standard is the most widely used standard and covers almost everything related to pentesting.
PTES is divided into the following seven phases:
- Pre-engagement interactions
- Intelligence gathering
- Threat modeling
- Vulnerability analysis
- Exploitation
- Post-exploitation
- Reporting
