ABOUT THE AUTHORS
George Stalk joined The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 1978 and is now a senior vice president based in Toronto. He has also worked in the Boston, Chicago, and Tokyo offices. Stalk focuses on international strategy and time-based competition, advising clients in retailing, automotive, and other industries. He is the coauthor (with Thomas H. Hout) of Competing Against Time and (with James C. Abegglen) of Kaisha: The Japanese Corporation. His Harvard Business Review article “Time—The Next Source of Competitive Advantage” won the McKinsey Award in 1988.
