The fate of your project or initiative will usually lie with a small group or even one individual.
Early on, ask your boss who will be evaluating your idea so you can build a case that speaks to their priorities (see chapter 4, “Understand Your Audience’s Objectives”). Maybe it’s your boss’s boss or the division head.
