When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter Three. Don’t stop working for a living
Do you work for a living? Do you unenthusiastically drag yourself out of bed every morning for another boring day, doing a job which at the best you don’t really care about and at the worst you loathe? You do? Excellent, you’re well on the way to a totally unfulfilled life. At least you can console yourself with this common excuse: “One day when I’ve got enough money, when the kids have grown up, when . . . . . . . . . . . . (fill in your own example here), then I’ll do what I’ve always dreamed of doing; one day I’ll do what I love and I’ll love what I’m doing.”
This way you can hopefully avoid ever having to sum up the courage it will take ...
