Introduction
With the proliferation of cell-based partitionable HP-UX systems, there is a lot to know about devices. Cell-based systems greatly increase the complexity of working with devices, such as determining in what partition devices are located, mapping card and slot numbers in I/O chassis, and other topics. Whether you use cell-based systems or not, you need to understand many important device-related commands, such as ioscan.
