So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

See the log file for the steps it takes to complete the backup of the ISC.
1. Set the ISC_HOME environment variable.
2. The script creates a staging directory (isc_homeTivoli/stage) that is used to temporarily
hold the data to back up.
3. The ISC Portal Server is stopped so you have a consistent view of the cloudscape
database.
4. The database information is copied to the staging directory.
5. The WebSphere Application Server configuration is backed up to the staging directory.
