It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 9. Cisco Extension Mobility
In Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) multisite environments, it is common for some users to roam between desks or sites on a regular basis. This is sometimes referred to as hoteling or hot desking. This technique is prevalent in areas where traditional desk space is limited and in call centers. When people use phones that are provided at the desks or sites they visit, they want to, but traditionally cannot, use their personal phone settings. These settings include directory numbers (DNs), speed dials, calling privileges, and message waiting indicator (MWI). A Unified Communications (UC) solution solves this problem.
