Objects and MIME types
An object (also known as resource content) is any digital content that a user can
store, retrieve, and manipulate as a single unit. For example, objects can be
JPEG images, MP3 audio, AVI video, and a text block from a book. An object is
always stored in a Resource Manager. Access to an object is controlled by the
Library Server.
MIME type is an Internet standard for identifying the type of object that is being
transferred across the Internet. MIME types include many variants of text, audio,
image, and video data.
When you create an object in Content Manager, you specify its MIME type. When
