THE WORLD NEEDS our help. It’s time for planners and architects to focus our skills on improving people’s lives.
Quality of life has three main components: social, sustainable, and affordable. When we reach a balance among these three elements that make up the triple bottom line, we can achieve a rich quality of life. Planners, architects, and engineers can enhance all three aspects of people’s lives through careful design of the built environment and its supporting infrastructure. This is something we desperately need to do.
