I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Sumi ink is one of the most magical, alluring, timeless art mediums. It is versatile and celebrates the simplicity of brushstrokes and masterful line work.
I have played with ink for many years but returned to it during the COVID-19 pandemic when I was unable to access my studio, where I am spoiled with space and choice of art materials. Instead, I was confined to a small table, a paintbrush, limited paper, and a handful of art supplies that could be packed away easily. The world was very overwhelming, and many artists (including myself) lost work and had to rethink their practice. Whenever I am struggling to make art, I try to return to basic techniques and find a playful state of creative flow. This time, I turned to sumi ink. ...
