When I began creating these water-and-ink paintings, I didn’t have access to my studio with my copious art supplies, yet I found that I needed a daily creative outlet. Enter this brilliant art form where you only really need four tools: sumi ink, water, watercolor paper, and paintbrushes. Painting these mindful pieces gave me the outlet I needed to stay present and centered. Below, I’ve suggested the tools and materials that I find the most useful, but feel free to play around with what you have at home.
