I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
GO WITH THE INK FLOW: Warm Up
Never underestimate the importance of a warm-up! Just as you would do a warm-up activity at the gym or before playing sport, warm-ups before painting are invaluable. The warm-ups in this book are designed to help you practice techniques you will use in the projects while getting into the rhythm of your creative space. They are just suggestions, and over time you may find certain warm-ups that are really right for you. A warm-up can be anything that gets you into the creative headspace. Sometimes my warm-up is simply cleaning my desk, preparing a stack of paper to paint with, and taking some time to look over past inky meditations I’ve painted.
