The projects in this section use some of the basic techniques to create simple but beautiful images. They will help you hone your skills, practice your brushwork, and really understand the combination of water and ink. However, don’t underestimate the power of simplicity in art. Just because these are more basic projects in terms of technical elements doesn’t mean they are any less powerful as stand-alone pieces. I am constantly striving for simplicity, and I find myself returning to clean lines and uncomplicated images regularly.
