Chapter 9 discusses the long-awaited Tableau feature, Viz in Tooltip. I believe this will be a game-changer in how we blur the line between explanatory and actionable analytics. Thereâs no doubt this feature has the ability to reduce the time to insight and increase the accuracy of insights; two of my three tenets of good visualization.
My third tenet of good visualization is to make them more engaging, and with infinite applications, the Viz in Tooltip feature can also help us draw users in, and even add some company branding. This chapter shares how to use Tableauâs Viz in Tooltip to add an image to a tooltip.
