I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Basic Rails Setup
To set up your Ruby on Rails server, you will need the following components on your system:
Ruby version 1.9.2 or higher
Rails 3.0 or higher
SQLite 3.0 or higher
There are plenty of resources on the Web to help install those components. You will need access to a wireless network so that your iOS device can communicate with your server system. This example assumes that your server system is running Mac OS X 10.7 with Bonjour networking ...
