When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Limitations of Game Kit’s Bluetooth Networking
Game Kit provides an easy-to-interact-with wrapper for communicating with other devices over Bluetooth; however, it does carry with it several important restrictions and limitations.
The most notable restriction is that the developer will have no access to the underlying functionality of Bluetooth, meaning you cannot directly request data from the hardware nor can you connect to devices that do not support Game Kit. If direct Bluetooth access is needed, Core Bluetooth should be used. From a developer standpoint you will also not be able to toggle Bluetooth on and off, although if you attempt to connect through Game Kit with Bluetooth off, the OS will prompt the user to turn it on, and provide a ...
