When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
App Setup
There are several steps to prepare the app for push notifications. To begin, set up an App ID in the iOS Provisioning Portal. Visit the iOS Dev Center (https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action), log in, and choose Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles in the menu titled iOS Developer Program on the right side of the screen (you must be logged in to see this menu). Choose Identifiers from the menu on the left side of the screen. Then, click the button with a plus sign in the upper-right corner to create a new App ID, as shown in Figure 9.1.
