I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Designing the Monitoring App
The basic idea behind our setup is based on the system design we described in the Solution Design section previously. Our app behaves as the BLE + Wi-Fi Hub, reading data directly from the sensors planted on store/warehouse shelves and uploads it to the backend (Firebase) for monitoring purposes.
A Note - We would be implementing a lot of functionality in this section. Please don't let that scare you. As a visual aid to give you a better understanding of the code that you would be implementing in this section, we have added a flowchart which outlines the flow of our App, towards the end of this section.
