Ethertype Field
Table B-1 lists possible values for the Ethertype number. The complete list can
be found at http://www.iana.org/assignments/ethernet-numbers.
Transmission of IP datagrams over Ethernet is defined in RFC 894 and
RFC 895. The Ethertype for IPv6 is, as the table shows,
86DD.
