Pitch & rhythm – the basic building blocks of music
Pitch is the sounds themselves, also called notes or tones. There are 12 pitches in our musical system.
Rhythm is motion. It’s palpably organized time.
Pitch and rhythm usually work together. But almost anything musical can broken down into a pitch thing or a rhythm thing.
