應該早已被世人淡忘。JavaScript 經歷更名、整併…等過程，才逐步整合為今日我們所
看到的標準化 ECMAScript。JavaScript 能有今日，可說是遠遠超乎那些最早期開發者的
想像。
雖然 JavaScript 已是一套相當成功、且廣受歡迎的語言，但大多數人對這套程式語言
仍有很深的誤解。很多人不知道，其實 JavaScript 是一種功能強大、極富彈性，而且非
常物件導向的程式語言。大部分人在得知 JavaScript 擁有一些像原型繼承（prototypal
inheritance）、模組（Module）、命名空間（namespace）…等進階功能時，往往會感到
非常驚訝。究竟是為什麼，會讓人們對 JavaScript 有這麼深的誤解呢？
有一部分的原因，應該是早期廣為流傳的一些劣質 JavaScript 程式，也有一部分是因
為它的名稱（以
Java
開頭的名稱）很容易被人當成是和 Java 有關的程式語言，但其實
JavaScript 和 Java 是兩種完全八竿子打不著的程式語言。不過我個人認為，真正的原因，
應該是大部分程式設計師剛開始接觸這個程式語言時，都採用了錯誤的學習方式 ...
