Changing the abstraction or perception of the maturity model is important for making the “CONNECTIONS” with JMP® PRO. As the data and semantic competency of your organization that uses information matures, we intend to show that the levels illustrated in Figures 1.1 and 1.2 as three-dimensional cubes are more than just tangential to each other as illustrated in Figure G.1.
The methodology described by the Capability Maturity Model as accomplished step by step through the levels is a set of reference points on the way to achieving best practices within the enterprise.
