The title of this book is Job Reconnaissance, but until now, it’s been fairly light on what is traditionally thought of as recon. However, it’s one thing to perform recon on a target and quite another to know what to do with the data you’ve gathered. The preceding chapters have been aimed at giving you the practice you need to properly execute on a plan to identify a target, grow their interest in you, and, eventually, get them to hire you. After all, by the time you’ve completed a recon engagement, it’s too late to start practicing the strike. You have to be ready to go when the reconnaissance indicates it’s “go” time.
