I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Time for action – sniffing wireless packets
Follow the following instructions to begin sniffing packets:
- Power up the Access Point Wireless Lab that we configured in Chapter 1, Wireless Lab Setup.
- Start Wireshark by typing
Wireshark &in the console. Once Wireshark is running, navigate to Capture | Interfaces.
- Select packet capture from the
mon0interface by clicking on the Start button to the right of themon0interface as shown in the previous screenshot.
