XML Parsing is done at compile time (except for a few things). It introduces CPU and battery overheads. For very complex layouts, it also introduces latency in the app and at times, severely affects user experience.
In Anko layouts, the DSL builds the layout at runtime and hence we can include anything. It also avoids runtime overhead, and we can avoid null pointer exception. Also, we do not need casting and can dodge the findViewById calls as well.
