CCL recently worked with the U.S. Postal Service to create a process for developing leadership in the Postal Service through action learning. Although CCL had previously used action learning with some clients and the Postal Service had experience with it as well, the project was something of an experiment for both organizations because of its scope and scale.
The Postal Service delivers more than 200 billion pieces of mail each year—more than 40 percent of the world's mail. With annual revenue of about $66 billion and a workforce of about 770,000, the Postal Service is the eleventh-largest domestic enterprise in terms of revenue and the second-largest civilian employer in the nation.
