The business strategy problem can be considered from different perspectives. In 1987, partly as a way to codify the spread of strategic approaches, and partly as a way to introduce strategic business thinking, Henry Mintzberg suggested strategy was one of his 5P’s: a plan, position, pattern, ploy, or perspective.
